Having pursued a Doctorate of Medicine (DM) in Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine at VMMC and Safdarjung Hospital in New Delhi from 2019 to 2022, Dr. Jain emerged as the college topper. Moreover, Dr. Jain also completed a comprehensive sleep medicine course by the esteemed Academy of Pulmonary Critical Care and Sleep Medicine (APCCSM) in 2022.

Building on an impressive academic foundation, Dr. Harsha Jain gained valuable practical experience at renowned healthcare institutions. At Yashoda Hospital in Secunderabad, Dr. Jain completed a Fellowship in Interventional Pulmonology (FIP) from October 2022 to February 2023. This experience equipped Dr. Jain with advanced skills in the diagnosis and treatment of various pulmonary conditions.

Dr. Jain’s journey in medicine began at JJM Medical College in Davangere, Karnataka, where a Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Pulmonary Medicine was earned with distinction in 2018. The gold medal received for academic excellence is a testament to Dr. Jain’s exceptional performance. Prior to that, Dr. Jain obtained an MBBS degree from Shimoga Institute of Medical Sciences in Shimoga, Karnataka, in 2014.

Dr. Jain’s areas of expertise include video bronchoscopy, single port thoracoscopy, linear and radial endobronchial ultrasound (Cp EBUS and Rp EBUS), central airway tumor debulking using cryosurgery and electrocautery, cryorecanalisation, foreign body retrieval, tracheobronchial stenting, persistent air leak management, rigid thoracoscopy, pigtail and IPC insertion, ultrasonography for chest, POCUS, echocardiography, and vascular-related procedures.

Furthermore, Dr. Jain is skilled in performing biopsies (USG/CT guided), arterial and central venous catheterizations, PICC line insertions, difficult airway management, and the diagnosis and treatment of sleep-related breathing disorders.

Published papers authored by Dr. Jain include “A Young Male presenting with Black Pleural Effusion” in the Journal of Advanced Lung Health (2023), “Diagnostic Utility of Ultrasonography of Upper Airway in Screening for Obstructive Sleep Apnea” in Sleep and Vigilance (2022), and “Laurence–Moon–Bardet–Biedl Syndrome and Obstructive Sleep Apnea” in the Indian Journal of Sleep Medicine (2021).
