Dr Sheetal Mahajani is a well known and an experienced consultant Liver Transplant Physician, Hepatologist & Gastroenterologist at Sahyadri Hospitals, Pune. She is also a director of Hepatology, Transplant Hepatology, Gastroenterology and GI Endoscopy at Sahyadri. Along with leading all these departments, she is a founder and director of an initiative called “LIVER CARE” which is a Gastroenterology, Hepatology & GI Endoscopy Clinic in Pune.

Throughout her academics, she did well in her studies and wanted to be a doctor from a very young age. She is a graduate and postgraduate, MD in General Medicine (Gold Medalist) from B. J. Medical College & Sassoon General Hospital, Pune. She has completed DM in Gastroenterology from LTMC & Sion Hospital, Mumbai. She has done DNB in General Medicine & in Gastroenterology (Gold Medalist). She has completed Post Doctoral Fellowship in Gastroenterology from LTMC & Sion Hospital, Mumbai and Fellowship in Liver Transplantation Medicine from Kings College, London, UK.

Dr. Dhadphale has an experience of over 20 years in Hepatology and has done 95 transplants so far. Her areas of expertise being Liver Transplantation Medicine & Hepatology. She also led the first successful Liver Transplant Program in Pune in Sassoon Hospital. She is also the founder of Liver Foundation & Liver Support Group and has conducted various programs on awareness of Organ Donation & Liver Diseases. She is an expert in liver transplant medicine and also treats patients with end-stage liver diseases.

She is also an Honorary Assistant Professor at B. J. Medical College and Sassoon General Hospital, Pune, and is also a Joint Secretary of ZTCC, Pune. She is also very active in organ donation awareness programs and has created several liver groups.
