Normally, if the patient does not show any symptoms, treatments are not compulsory, especially if you do not feel any discomfort. However, if the symptoms bother you, it is best to opt for the treatments.

Compression stockings

This is one of the effective procedures and the non-surgical procedure that effectively helps in preventing varicose veins. Modern-day compression stockings are quite sophisticated as they are designed for applying consistent pressure on your legs.

Consistent pressure helps the blood to travel back to your heart. Ideally, stockings help in putting pressure, especially in the ankles as well as feet. As a result, you will feel extra pressure and squeeze, which supports blood flow.

Ideally. Compression stockings help in improving some of the visible symptoms of the varicose veins. Moreover, it even helps in eliminating the painful symptoms as well. You have to keep wearing the stockings for at least eight to ten hours for best results.

You will come across different types of compression stockings. But, make sure that you are choosing the right one that will show the best results. Some of the common compression stockings that you will get are support pantyhose, prescription stockings, etc.

After wearing the stockings for one to two weeks, doctors evaluate your condition. In case your condition improves, doctors mostly do not recommend any surgery. Most of these are knee-high stockings and these help in promoting effective circulation, especially when exercising.

Pinhole surgery or Ligation and stripping

It is a minimally invasive surgery and the recovery procedure is quick. In this process, a small incision is made on the target vein and the other one in the down leg. Through surgery, the top of the vein is sealed and tied.

Doctors use a thin flexible wire through the bottom of the vein, which is then pulled out. Pin-hole surgery is mostly done through local anesthesia or general anesthesia. Being a daycare surgery, it is done mostly during the morning. The damaged vein is sealed and you can get back to work by the next day.
